I really enjoy yard house! Especially watching sports games (go sharks, sf Giants, and niners)!!! They have happy hour from (M-F) 3-6 and 10 to close (Sun-W). $2 off crafts, cocktails, spirits, special drinks, $3 off martini, $4 off crafts and import half yard! As for food, half priced appertizers and pizzas! Lots of beer options too. I'm a big stout person and they only have 2 different types. Just wished they had more stouts to choose from. During the evening it gets super super packed and on game days (wait is at least up to an hour). Usually during the day it's not crowded.

We came here to catch up & chill. We had to wait about an hour & a half to be seated because we came on a Friday evening. But there were things to do during our wait. I like Yard House. The service is usually good and the food is good, although pricey. I ordered the Hawaiian Mule. It was delicious, I would definitely order it again. I ordered, for food, the Vampire Taco & Sweet Potato Fries. I would not order the Vampire Taco again, it was too stiff than what I thought it was going to be. I would try another taco. The sweet potato fries were good, especially with the sauce that came with it. Overall, I enjoyed the service, our server was personable & the food was good. I just wish the prices were a little lower, but it's not that bad.

I am suuuuper digging Yard House after coming here my first time on my birthday! Ok first off, we visited during Happy Hour 10 pm - closing time on a Monday, and we were seated right away. The food, the drinks, the company, and the service- were all SUPER!! Mixed drinks? Nah... When I asked the waitress what she would order, she recommended the Strawberry beer, and let me just say it was LITERALLY THE BEST DRINK EVER. I was so surprised that I liked it - it tasted so out of the ordinary. Next, the food!! Yum yum to be eating the Hawaiian Tuna Poke! Of course, there are better poke options, but I thought the fish was pretty fresh here. I think they are also known for their truffle fries, so if you have not had these amazing fried goodies, you need to head on down to Yard House now to eat it... GOOOO! Ambiance is key! Usually, I despise restaurants that have such low-lit, "cool" vibes because I literally cannot see what I am eating / drinking. However, dining at Yard House was far different from what I have usually experienced. While standing on the outside of Yard House, you cannot see anything going on in the inside, I was able to see the tuna poke I ordered and the strawberry beer I drank! Judging from my friends reviews, this place has been either a hit or miss, and I am sure it is because they are literally always so busy (except at late happy hour on a Monday). On the contrary, I think this place is very good, having all the right ingredients for the ultimate happy hour experience. As I write this review, I have also been eagerly asking friends when our next visit to Yard House will be! I am super excited to explore more of their amazingly fruity-tooti beers, so look out Yard House, you're going to see a new regular very soon :).

Such a hopping place at Santana Row. It's probably one of the more family friendly and affordable places in this shopping area. Plus happy hour, of course. We came on a weekday for work dinner. Part of our group had flown in so wanted to go to a place where we could grab a drink and wind down after a long day. Anyways I tried calling about a reservation and they don't take them for our large group and then I called ahead an hour before we arrived to see if I could get on the list but they said it was first come first serve. This was not really what I read about on yelp about other's experiences. It probably all depends on who you speak to or slip money to (haha, jk). One of my co-workers got there first and I think we probably waited a total of half an hour before we were seated. We had a group of about 12 of us. We got to sit at a bunch of high tables and chairs pushed together. It was right next to the bar so it makes sense so you're not lower than the people standing and hovering by the bar. Wouldn't that be awkward, people looking down at you while you're trying to eat. But it was still really crowded. The people in the bar area were literally right up against me or my chair at many points in the evening. Anyways I ordered a blueberry fruity beer (sorry I don't remember its name) and the surf & turf burger. The beer was refreshing, though tasted nothing like blueberry. Haha. For my burger, it had pieces of lobster in butter over my medium rare hamburger patty. Also had some asparagus, arugula and swiss cheese. But it was a great combo and delicious. It was a huge burger and I could only finish half of it. I opted for the sweet potato fries as my side. They were really good and came out piping hot. Mmm. Busy place and it took awhile to wave down any server. Would love to come back with a smaller group or just for HH at the bar.

I only come here for the beers. Though I have been disappointed so many times by other Yard Houses, I can always count on their beer selection. With hundreds of beers on tap you can't go wrong with it. I am especially impressed by their rare beer selections. They have had the DogfishHead 120 minute IPA, which is a pretty sought out beer, must place tap out within a few hours of serving it. They don't bottle that stuff and only distribute it via kegs to select bars in the west coast. I have eaten at other Yard Houses...not by choice, and I never had a good experience. The service was bad and the food was worst. None of the appetizers are good and my ahi was not fresh. But I don't know about this one, I just can't imagine it being any good. However, if you were forced to come here because of some plans, just get a burger. If you need to eat to prolong your drinking, then get some fries.

Yard House was our place to go in SoCal, so I was really happy to find one on Santana Row. I've been here twice and had the fortune of having great servers both times. Food is delicious - everyone has always been happy - and the interior is really spacious and well-lit. My go-to dish at this location is the Turkey Cobb Salad. They forgot the turkey the second time, but the server got it for me right away (although it was a much smaller portion than the first time -- and yes, I ordered the same size salad both times). For drinks, we've had the moscow mule, margarita, and a couple beers, and all were good. They even do half-pints (yay!). My only complaint... NO patio! I really wanted to give three stars because of that, haha, but the rest of the experience is on-point, so I can't. I just don't understand how it's the one restaurant on Santana Row without it. It seems borderline criminal.

Finally made it in to HH at YardHouse! Massive thanks to my friends who were able to line up early before the Happy Hour rush (before 5PM) in order to get us a spot at the "cocktail table" seating right by the hostess stand. The biggest plus here is their wide selection of beers. And yes, stout and porter lovers...they have Campfire Stout! NOM. But beer alone cannot hold a restaurant up. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back to Yard House. The location sandwiched between two hotspots--Valley Fair Mall and Santana Row is so not ideal. The wait time is guaranteed an hour or more. My friends who got here early STILL had to wait almost 30 minutes!! That's ridiculous before 5PM. Our server (probably slammed) was very smiley and friendly whenever he showed his face at our table, but he was clearly very busy. I feel you homie. Sure they have the yardsticks of beer and a cooler ambiance than Cheesecake Factory or BJ's. But their HH beers come in a small cup size, the portions are not well-doled out. Considering the small mac and cheese (although delicious) on their regular dinner menu was $13, I expected a larger plate or more variety in my dish. However it was subpar, and I could definitely find a better plate in Campbell or SJ for that matter! My friends also had nachos, some lettuce wrap stuff, and a lobster ceviche type dish. Those were all ordered during HH so I missed it since I arrived later. In short: YardHouse has the potential to be cooler than the rest, but the overpopulated madhouse of a wait and understaffed problem really messes with its shine.

What's not to like about Yard House? Over 100 drafts, plenty of tv's surrounding your table to catch up on whatever sport facinates you the most, plenty of food options, happy hour, able to accommodate large groups, and in a highly fun shopping area. I love going here to catch up with my friends. Grab a few seats at the bar and just go at it for a few hours. If I'm feeling up for a challenge, I'll grab a half-yard (which is really only 2.5 beers, but I drink so slowly that my beer gets warm before I finish it). The drafts, as many as they have, aren't exactly impressive, but it gets the job done. They lack a large variety of craft beers. You've probably been here, you've probably heard of it, so of course I'm going to take my review the way that I like to do the most and focus on...VEGAN OPTIONS! Yup, with such a large menu, boasting a separate "Gardein" section, you'd think it'd be easy to find vegan options. But alas, this is what happens when you have meat-eating chefs cooking with vegan items-they make them UN-vegan. *Sigh* =Gardein Wings= The Buffalo ones are vegan, minus the dipping which has dairy. The Firecracker has a bit of honey in it. The Jerk ones are NOT vegan! It contains a sauce that has Worcestershire sauce which has anchovies in it! Eww... =Orange Peel Rice Bowl= Vegan! =Orange Peel Chicken=Vegan! **Everything else under the Gardein has dairy of some sort. Some can be modified to be made vegan, such as taking out the cheese and subbing the dressing for the salad. Others are more difficult and probably not worth all the deletions, such as the pizza or tortas.** Other items on the menu that are vegan friendly: =Lettuce wraps with mushrooms= My favorite! Perfect for sharing =Hummus= =Edamame= =Sweet potato and regular fries= Beware any dairy dipping sauces =Guacamole= **A few other 'vegetarian' options that can probably made vegan are the Angel Hair Pasta without the cheese, and the veggie tacos without cheese. I have not tried those, so I'd verify with a server just to be sure.** In the end, if you're really worried about vegan options, Veggie Grill is literally down the street and has tastier food. However, if you're looking for a fun time to drink, watch the game, and wind down, Yard House is the way to go!

Bumping yardhouse to 5 stars! Woo! If you're planning to go on the weekend, be prepared to wait but It'll be worth it! Yesterday, I hit the big 21 and decided to go to Yard House to drink (finally) and eat with a few family and friends. Our server, Regina, made everything perfect. Her service was excellent with her great attitude! Their fried calamari is great and so was their Kale Caesar salad (w/ ahi). The kale Caesar salad was THE perfect salad I have ever eaten. For drink, I ordered the salted watermelon (it was okay) but the Pineapple Express was excellent! Yardhouse is a great place to eat, drink, and enjoy each others company.

Great environment - you're going to be waiting a long time to get a seat, but you're not paying Santana Row prices on Santana Row. I was particularly impressed with the staff, very attentive. They were refilling drinks. The noise level was perfect for bringing the family and friends to have a good time, good conversations and good food. Okay, the reason why I couldn't get the 5th star was because the food was good - Santa Row restaurant's should be 5 stars all around. Perhaps 4 and half stars, but the food was not so overwhelming, quality, presentation, etc.

I used to come here quite often when it first opened, and I really digged their food before. Now.. not as much. Came here for HH, and it wasn't packed on a Monday, SCORE!! I don't know how the traffic here now, but I remember there used to be pretty long waits here for Happy Hour. I believe their HH is M-F 3-6, and they have a later one from Sun-Wed10 to closing. Pricing is pretty decent especially for the area. The food was ok, I thought the margarita pizza would be more tasty from what I remembered but it was bland and disappointing. I tried their garden wings (meatless) and it was good. Kind of dry. Other than that I would say the food doesn't look as appealing as it used to, but still OK. Service was great, and our server was really attentive and also offered a lot of good suggestions for beer choices. I would come back for HH but probably on a Monday again when it's not that crowded!

Bacon and mushrooms and cheese oh my! The mac n cheese here is delicious. It had chunks of smokey bacon, chicken and mushrooms in it. So good! I can't ever remember tasting better. I had a tasty Korean taco too. It was Kobe beef and had good flavor. I gave the restaurant four stars because it took a long time for the waiter to get to us. Yes, it was busy but still... Our table was seriously running out of things to talk about it took so long. The service was good once he finally found us.

I've been here several times and overall Yardhouse is one of my favorite spots on the Row. It's casual, which is more of my style compared to other bars like Sino. And I love beer! It can be a bit loud at times, but it's tolerable :) You're crazy if you don't get a beer here. They have such a huge impressive selection. And yesss they have some of the most awesome German beers on tap! Franziskaner and Paulaner Hefeweizen?! Yes pleaseeee. Their cocktails aren't bad either, don't get me wrong. I love their mules. As for the food, I've had their shiitake garlic noodles, chicken nachos, ahi sashimi, baja fish tacos, and pepperoni&mushroom pizza. The portions are huge-- my friend and I were easily stuffed from sharing the nachos and pizza. The fish tacos were a decent sized individual portion (2 tacos with rice and beans). The garlic noodles is counted as an appetizer, but it can easily be an entree for one person or shared as a snack. All of them were sinfully delicious. Service: takes a while to get the drinks, so from now on I would rather first get my drink if I am waiting for a table. On all occasions I've had pleasant servers who did a great job checking on us to see if we wanted anything else. As for the wait time for tables, the host usually tells you a longer wait time than you really need to wait for, so don't freak out if they say it's like a 40 min wait. That usually ends up meaning half the duration! They have happy hour both during the early evening and late night (10pm-close). The bartenders are all usually very friendly and eager to give you samples.

Yard House is my go-to "hey, we haven't seen each other in a while, so let's grab a beer or two or three and catch up on life" place. Happy hour is from 3-6 Monday through Friday, which is perfect for those who need something on Tuesday to get through the rest of the week, as well as Friday after work when you're in that Thank God It's F-cking Friday mindset. (I think they still have HH at night too but I've never been so I don't know the times for that.) They have a crazy assortment of beer which makes it hard to not want to try all of them. If you're unsure what to get, I believe they let you sample two. I usually go for Linenkugel Sunset Wheat aka fruity pebbles beer. Their happy hour menu has something for everyone. I like the California roll, mushroom lettuce wraps and Gardein aka fake meat wings. I also really like the garlic noodles and ahi tuna salad from their regular menu. To avoid long a wait, you can call and put your name on the list (but only when there's a wait). Now you know!

Been here a few times. The food is really good. Just like anywhere else your experience really depends on your server. I went there tonight STARVING. I really like a french dip style sandwich. I've been in the food service industry for years and always ask the server or cashier if what I've decided on ordering would be a good choice. Our server said it was really good. I said I'm REALLY hungry, is it a good sized portion of food? Without hesitation she said YES. There are no excuses when she's staring at a 230 pound, 6'4" dude and is still saying YES. The sandwich showed up and to my dismay looked like it came from a kids menu. I always look at the price of things before I contemplate ordering them. Expensive might mean a pretty big portion, right? Well, unless it's something fancy your ordering. This was just Roast Beef. Nothing fancy about that...well my theory didn't work here. It was a bummer because the 6 bite appetizer sandwich was DAMN good! The meat was SUPER tender. The Au jus wasn't salty, and the bun was super soft like a dinner roll and seemed like it was made in their own bakery. The sweet potato fries were pretty damn good too...

Alright, let's be real. This place is just alright. HH is legit and by legit, I mean portions are not minimized and taste is consistent for a mediocre fusion restaurant/bar. More of a social spot and definitley not a place i'd wait longer than an hour for. Prices are fair for the food mainly due to oversized portions, not quality of taste/contents. It is in a great location, at the end of Santana Row so you're kind of away from the crowds (although the restaurant itself gets super crowded, so there is no real escape). The restaurant is pretty big - simple decor, nothing special. I do like the bar and they have a wide variety of beer on tap which is definitely the biggest PRO here. I DO NOT recommend any cocktails, unless you like super, super, SUPER sweet drinks (yes, I even had to capitalize that last SUPER) The wide variety of cider and fruit beers are interesting and seemingly floats my boat: I recommend the pineapple/pear/raspberry cider and or the Lindeman's Framboise Fruit Ale/Bluepaw Wild Blueberry/Lindemans Peche ale - the watermelon wheat ale was a little weird to me. Food wise: - hawaiian poke stack: was actually pretty tasty, but ask for light sauce or sauce on the side - tortilla soup: was too salty overall - truffle fries: were weak...too much cheese not enough fries - nachos: was more about quantity than quality, yes they had many ingredients but my biggest issue was the overcooked super dry meat - garlic noodles: the infamous garlic noodles were pretty good, but after a while the taste is a little tiring and oily Dessert? Now, i'm a little bougie with desserts I will admit. I really do not like desserts that are jampacked with sugar and syrup and toppings - which is pretty much what desserts are here. I've tried the salted caramel butterscotch pudding and macademia nut cheesecake (both recommended by the waiter BTW after I told him I don't like super sweet desserts -_-). With the first bite, I felt the cavities in my mouth screaming with joy! It was seriously all sugar, no real substance - lesson learned, say NO to desserts.

A zillion beers, sure! A lot of really yummy appetizers, bar snacks ala cartees, whatever you want to term them. The clam chowder is really good! lots of TVs,sports, noise, crowd, windows and wait people. But it's not all that.Reminds me a nice Reno sports bar, lower version of Cheese Cake factory or up scaled food version of Wing Stop! But it is in Santana Row and it is big and nice inside.....packed on weekends.

This is the second Yard House I have been to and they are all the same...the wait is usually an hour especially for large parties (we were 5); no reservations. This place, I didn't understand their system as they were seating folks of a party of two in large 6 person tables and their were plenty of smaller tables for them? Some of the staff was just standing there. The place was packed even at the bar. Their were many TV's to watch baseball which was a good thing. The entrance doesn't have a wait area so people were standing around. We stayed inside as it was too windy and cold outside for a May evening. We finally got seated after an hour. Leslie our server was the best and very cool. She memorized our menu that we wanted and was very attentive. The food came out pretty fast. The drinks were great. The food was ok and nothing special to brag about. We ordered the ahi poke appetizer and ahi poke bowl; the snack bowl barely had flavor. The onion soup was ok. I guess the soup needed more seasoning. They didn't even have pepper and salt at the table to use on the dishes. The lobster garlic noodles or shiitake garlic noodles needed more garlic flavor or just flavor. The rest of the dishes were ok. The selection of dessert were ok but we decided not to get any. Only thing that would have satisfied my craving was the mini chocolate shouffle. We should have gone somewhere else but the service was good (thanks to Leslie) as well as the drinks but too much on the wallet for the rest.

I can finally say that I'm a fan after my third try here. It's a good place for a group dinner/happy hour. Food can be hit or miss for my palette. After a couple so-so experiences, I've finally figured out what to order without feeling too heavy and thirsty after: garlic noodles, lettuce wraps and truffle fries.. preferably to share and not just for yourself :) I do admit that the truffle fries here are pretty amazing. They have a great list of drinks . Just expect long waits and a really loud atmosphere.

When coming here, I always fear the wait time to getting seated, how crowded it'll be, and of course how long the food will take to get to my mouth. But thankfully, every time I do, it's not that horrific. The guy that served me and my bf was really cool. He knew how to joke around and was attentive to our table. It was Easter Sunday, so I didn't think too negatively about how long my food will come (but I was starving!) The food here is so awesome. I love how they have a huge menu to choose from and lets you customize on some of them. The poke is so good. I mean, GOOD. It'll leave you wanting more. I'm also in love with the truffle fries. I wouldn't come here during happy hour though, there's just way too many people! :(

I LOVED Yard House! There's an excellent selection of vegetarian meals here! The imitation meat is very tasty and tasted like the real deal. My vegetarian friends LOVED it! The beers are also awesome here. They have a HUGE selections and even mixed different flavored beers to create cool, new flavors. I had a chocolate beer mixed with a berry flavored beer. it was truly a match made in heaven for me as I do not drink beer. The restaurant gets busy so come closer to opening time or closing time. Happy hour offers great pricing too :-)

This review is for the bar only, specifically the bartender with the Harry Potter tattoo on his arm. I didn't bother to remember his name because of the horrible experience. This incident happened last month and I had been reluctant about posting a review because I didn't want to look like I was overreacting over a small incident. However, after speaking about it with several people I've decided to go ahead and write one. My friends and I came here for some more drinks after dinner at a nearby sushi restaurant so we were all dressed very casually compared to everyone else. We were looking forward to the drinks since it seemed like our bartender would be a friendly woman. Our bartender ended up being the guy with the Harry Potter tattoo, his hair was either shaved or really short. He was very curt with us and made little effort to communicate. My friend asked for drink recommendations and he made a face of obvious displeasure. He gave us suggestions but I didn't appreciate his attitude. I understand that you're probably tired from working, but where are your basic manners? After we got our drinks we tried not to mind him, however, we noticed he was a lot friendlier with all the customers around us. We also heard him mention to some customers that came in shortly after us about Happy Hour. After overhearing, we looked at our receipt and the drink was charged at regular price even though we made it to Happy Hour. I was outraged because he had been snubbing us all night, and now he's not even doing his job to notify us of Happy Hour? The discount is unimportant but I was upset with the clear discrimination we were receiving. It took us forever to flag him down for another round of drinks so we ended up asking for the check. He basically took the check, looked at how much we tipped him, and that was it. No "thank you" or "have a good night!" We had all worked in customer service before so we knew how tiring it could be and decided to give him a decent tip. We totally regretted it after seeing how it was all he cared about. I feel like it was obvious he was discriminating against us because 1) my friends and I look young, 2) we're Asian (we noticed everyone else at the bar was white or looked white), 3) since the decision to come here was spontaneous, we were not dressed up to fit in with everyone else Santana Row. Like I said, the discount is unimportant and what I'm really mad about is the fact that he had clearly treated us differently from everybody else. Totally ruined my experience here at the bar and I doubt I'm ever coming back; no drink is worth being discriminated against.

Visited the Yard House in Santana Row one evening for a snack and a Pint. The place was packed. As I entered - two staff people manning the front door greeted me. One of them started to ask for ID, but the second told him to just let me in. :-) I found a spot at the bar and perused the menu. I ordered the chicken nachos, plus a pint of the Hoptopia Double IPA - 8% ABV (Hermitage Brewing Co., San Jose, CA). The nachos came out rather quickly. The plate of nachos was hot and freshly made, but they were not the best nachos I've had. Something seemed to be missing from the flavor profile - but I can't quite put my finger on it. I'd never had the Hoptopia Double IPA - it was okay, it had a bit of an alcohol taste to it - which to me is a turn off. Overall though, I like the massive craft beer selection that Yard House locations provide!

OMG was this place crowded when we showed up at around 7:45 PM on a Friday night. The wait for a table for 3 was an hour and a half so we opted to seat ourselves at the bar, which was also a painful experience. We waited around for a while and a couple decided to leave so my sister and I grabbed the seats as soon as they became available. We felt like a bunch of Yelp stalkers. Bad joke! My bad, sorry if it hits a little too close to home for some of you out there... I had a late dinner so I wasn't too hungry, but my sister just got off work not too long ago so she was definitely starving. She ordered a ham and pineapple pizza which she said was pretty good, although a little soggy from the pineapple juice. I decided to order a poke stack since I enjoyed it while I was in DC, but to my surprise it was super salty here. I mean, SALTY!!! I ate some of it, but just couldn't stomach it enough to kill myself with salt over load. Decided not to complain because it was too loud to talk to the bartender any way. The clam chowder was ok, a little salty, but still edible. I guess I'll just have to make a note that Yard House is really a drinking place so their food is made saltier for drinkers. They have a ton of beer choices. It's overwhelming how big their beer list is...to the point I almost felt compelled to order a beer, but I stuck to my sprite.

So after a long wait & trying to figure out what to eat we decided to eat at yard house! Luckily we got in just as happy hour started. There was no line no wait. The hostess walked us to our table & introduced us to our server. We ordered boneless Korean bbw over brown rice (she wanted brown rice), pepperoni & mushroom pizza, & Hawaiian poke stack, 1 strawberry mojito & 1 mango mojito. The food was really tasty & fulfilling. We didn't finish the pizza or Korean bbq. The server gave us a nice to go tray & a bag! Can go wrong here there food portions & quality is good also there price is fair!

First time on Santana Row and Yardhouse was perfect for lunch. My boyfriend and I were craving beer and we were surprised how many types of beer their were on their menu. We tried a half yard of their blonde ale which was delicious. My boyfriend wanted something stronger and ordered from a list of their IPAs. We also ordered the truffle fries, truffle mac and cheese and the lobster, crab and artichoke dip which came with chips and pita bread. Overall it was tasty and we were pretty full at the end of our meal. The place is very chill, casual and seems fun for larger groups. Next time I go to San Jose I'll definitely come here to try more of their beers!

Part of me wanted to give them 4 stars because they are always PACKED and they don't take reservations... but I really can't blame everyone else for wanting to go here. The food is pretty fantastic for chain brewery fare, and quite reasonably priced... but that isn't why you go to Yard House... It's ALL THE BEER! Tons of taps, lots of fun beers to try, the waitstaff actually knows their stuff (haven't run into one yet who didn't have an opinion about almost everything on the 100+ beer menu) -- and love little details (For instance, their flights of beer are served on chilled steel to help keep the little tumblers cold long enough for you to really enjoy them all). Biggest recommendation is to visit here during off peak hours, and to watch out for the sports ball fans if you are hoping to get a seat (and not be packed in like a dance club).

I love yardhouse during happy hour. Delicious beers, discounted food. It's a great place for groups. I always get the poke stack during happy hour. You get two large chips with a decent amount of poke. Sometimes they are inconsistent with the taste. I like their truffle fries, onion rings, spinach dip, and wings as well. I personally prefer Lagars, Pale ales, and generally any citrus ale. If you like a variety, try out the sampler. I don't like the house IPA that much. If you dont really know what beer to get or want to try something new, look into their chalkboard series. It changes seasonally, so you won't be able to get it here all the time. WARNING: Their snake bite is their own version, your cider will be mixed with a pale ale. Recommend ordering a BLACK VELVET so that you can get the guiness and cider, creating the perfect balance of sweet and bitter :) Expect to wait, it's usually pretty busy. Give yourself time to find parking because the parking garage gets crowded during the busy times of the day.

I can't believe this was my first time ever being here. I've passed by here for so many times yet I've actually never been here before. This place seems to be packed all the time and parking could get difficult. Since my friends and I were meeting at around 6pm, I was a little scared of how the parking and seating situation were going to be like. But to my surprise, it wasn't bad! My friend came earlier and got seated right away! Yay! I went straight into the restaurant, sat down myself, and the waitress came by to start me off with a drink. That was quick! But, since it was like 10 minutes before Happy Hour was going to be over, they didn't come back until 6pm, which was after Happy Hour has ended. Oh well. We were still waiting for two of our friends to get here so I just ordered the Timmermans Strawberry, which was supposedly very popular. I guess it was so popular that they ran out. They ended up giving me tasters to test though, ones that were similar to the one I ordered. I ended up getting the Raspberry one, but I'm not sure what the full name was (it was one of the beers though). Once our friends got here, we took some time to decide on what we wanted to eat. Our waitress took so long to come by that one of my friends had to go up and ask for her (the staff my friend talked to looked so embarrassed)! She came by a little while later to take our order. My friends got the truffle fries, boneless chicken, mixed green salad, Caesar salad with tomato bisque, and I personally got the ahi crunchy salad. It wasn't all that complicated but our waitress definitely got it wrong. I was kind of upset because she looked really out of it. We ended up getting two mixed salads and my ahi crunchy salad never came. But instead, we got the Cobb salad and since we didn't order it in the first place, we got it for free. The truffle fries never came until we asked and they just gave it to us for free, too. Talk about service. The food was decent though and so was the portion. My drink was especially good! I really liked it! I love the fruity taste to it and the alcohol wasn't too strong. This is a great place to chill with friends and watch the game, too! I definitely love the vibe here. Service is good, too, even though they messed up our orders. At least they know that they did something wrong.. Overall, I'll probably come back for happy hour next time. It's definitely less pricey during happy hour as compared to the regular meals. They have a great variety of food and drinks to choose from so it's definitely a great place to be with friends.

I noticed a lot of my friends gave four-star reviews to Yard House and it made me question how I felt about it. But you know what? I realized I have no reason to be stingy here. Let me explain why. I came here over the weekend to catch up with my best friend. I'm not much of a drinker, but I am a vegetarian, so I skimmed down to the vegetarian/vegan "Gardein" section of the menu. We shared some Truffle Fries while I got the Gardein Spicy Thai Chicken Pizza. The fries were great: chewy texture with flavorful herbs. The pizza featured firecracker sauce, mozzarella, macadamia nuts, carrots, green onion, and cilantro. It also has vegan faux chicken. It was a good pizza, but not my favorite at Yard House. I went to a Yard House in SoCal, so I'd like to mention a couple things I tried there because Yard House offers those menu items here too. In SoCal, I tried the Gardein Firecracker Wings and the Gardein BBQ Chicken Pizza. The Firecracker Wings are vegan wings with spicy sesame garlic plum glaze and green onions. It wasn't THAT spicy for my palate, but the garlic plum glaze gave it a great kick. The Gardein BBQ Chicken Pizza has firecracker sauce, mozzarella, macadamia nuts, carrots, green onion, and cilantro. I'm just sold on cilantro in my food in general. I admit it. And the firecracker sauce adds the same kick as with the wings. I prefer this pizza to the Gardein Spicy Thai Chicken Pizza. Overall, I love Yard House as a vegetarian. The service is good. And you get free refills on soft drinks (which are thankfully Coke products, not Pepsi). There's something for everybody!

Good luck getting a seat here. Especially when there is game! Me and my friends came here for the drinks and we were overwhelmed by the size of the selection! Beers, IPAs, ciders, cocktails, wines... they've got them all! I think they have near or over 100 drinks on tap which is pretty cool to see around the bar area. I got a pear cider which was pretty good. I also got a watermelon beer because it sounded interesting. I wasn't a huge fan - it tasted like an IPA (which I don't like) with a really really subtle watermelon aftertaste. We didn't stay long as it was really crowded, but I had a good time getting drinks and hanging out. Overall, great selection of drinks and a chill place to hang out if you can get a seat.

Of course just like any other busy popular place for happy hour its always crowded. except when you catch the place dead as a fish in a land which is hardly. There were only selected few times where i actually only waited 5 minutes. Now, what i love about this place is their happy hour! I loveee lovee affordable good quality food. whoever invented Happy Hour is a genius! I specifically love their chicken nachos! that thing can fill me up til the morning after! haha. I also love the crunch berry beer half yard. I always get that and my Kevin my boyfriend gets the wheat ales sometimes blue moon. This is a perfect place to be if you're meeting up with colleagues or just a chill laid back Friday if you must! I recently went through some tough changes in my family and i happen to be meeting couple friends at yard house for dinner. My best friend and I arrived first and we waited for 2 more friends. Our friend from Hawaii just came back home and we wanted to have a chill Friday to sit relax and enjoy each others company so while we wait, We got a bottle of LA PERLINA Moscato, I highly recommend this bubbly drink for the girls if you're not looking to get wasted off wine haha it has a fair amount of kick to it. Anywho! I received a phone call form my sister, it was loud (it always is) so i when to the restroom to get a grip of what she was trying to say to me. unfortunately that conversation escalated and I was upset. I started yelling and bawled. Im that moment i had forgotten i was still in public acting like a psycho. So i expected to have bee thrown out or being talked to about leaving. A loving voice asked me if i was okay and she rubbed my back and asked me where my table was and and offer to bring me water to drink inside the ladies room, of course i refused; i just needed to go but still she said to me, to let her know if i need anything and ANYHTING at all even though she wasn't our waitress, she was willing to go above and beyond to make me feel better. I didn't catch her name but THAT! ladies and gentlemen is what i call customer service. Because of her good customer service all the yard house's flaws as a whole didn't matter. because all that wait, noise, and mistaken pastas and drinks are worth if a place performs great customer service.

This is like the kicked up 'hangout' on Santana Row for the budget conscious. Happy hour, win. So many beers on tap. Appetizer menu, eh. We went with a myriad of dishes to try. The deviled eggs, chicken garlic noodles, California roll, pizza and chicken nachos. I was very excited as our server's enthusiasm got me to buy this non traditional California roll. When it arrived to the table, I realized that young gal has not lived yet! Deviled eggs. Probably comes pre packaged. The tomato based sauce drowned the egg and made the yolk a runny mess of afterthought. Garlic chicken noodles. No chicken, had tofu. No big deal but a lot overcooked, cold and lifeless. The hubby enjoyed his nachos and pizza. The 'California roll' was not hitting the sushi craving. It comes out looking like a round disk. The avocado, cucumber and crab are on top of this rice disk that is a base of fried hard crunch rice. I'm not sure was the sauce was on top but was really wanting the texture of a traditional California roll and a side of wasabi. Hence it is a fun hip place where folks like to hang after work, packs a crowd.

I came here one time - my first and my last - and I am never returning here again. I ordered this truffle pasta and I came home feeling sick. I was throwing up all night among other things and had the worst food poisoning. I was sick for days. My boyfriend also ate the same meal too and was in the same boat as me. I called Yardhouse to let them know what happened and that I wanted a refund on my meal. Instead of giving me the refund, they decided to be difficult and directed me to their lawyer. The lawyer asked me to send me a stool sample. Are you serious??? Yeah I'm going to send my feces in the mail. How unethical can this restaurant be? Well, they are now stuck with a bad review. Good luck eating here. Beware of food poisoning.

HAPPY HOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (3-6 Mon-Fri and 10-Close Sun-Weds) Seriously, this place has an amazing happy hour that can't be beat by many other places. 120 or so beers on tap for a few dollars off? Half off selected appetizers? Yeah. It's definitely gonna be happy hour(s). First off though, know that this place is and always will be packed. Don't be surprised if you come in at 4:30-5pm and wait 40-60 minutes for a table. Yard House is part of Santana Row and sits right across the street from the popular Valley Fair Mall. The earlier you can come, the better. Anyways I've been here a few times for their HH. Many pints are $1-2 off and the half-yards are $4 off! Long and rough day at work? Do yourself a favor and get a half-yard. Most come out to ~$9-10 for some amazing craft beer. Feeling adventurous? Get a pint or two...or 3... of different beers. Again, there's like 120+ beers on tap and it's ever rotating, so there's something for everyone! From hoppy to malty to fruity to a bit of everything, the servers there will have something to recommend to everyone. My waitress last time knew so much about beers, I was actually kinda surprised! For food, they have a list of appetizers that are half off from the pizza to chicken strips to the Hawaiian poke stack. You can get 2 appetizers and be full already. They give you lots! I got to try the Hawaiian poke stack, chicken strips, calamari, BBQ chicken pizza, and the chicken wraps. I would highly recommend the poke stack and chicken strips with truffle fries. The strips themselves can be a full meal and poke stack is just so nice and fresh. I will definitely be coming back here in the future. Looking forward to trying all the beers one day!!!!

A nice American restaurant/ bar with good food and good cocktails. We tried some of their sandwiches: the New York Steak and the Ahi Steak. Both were good even thought the New York Steak was a little chewy. The truffle fries were yummy too! As desert we got the Caramel Butterscotch Pudding - a sugar overdose in a glass but very tasty if you can handle the sweetness from the caramel.

3.5-4 STAR. I've always been a HUGE FAN of Yard House and have been to a number of locations (one in Las Vegas, one in Phoenix, and this one in Santana Row). This location is a lot bigger than the other ones I've been to with a sizable bar area and less dining area, which I am ok with. It's a great environment to watch sporting events and I definitely recommend it! I was at this location in Santana Row for the NFL conference championship games last weekend. I got there 15-20 minutes before the first game was about to start and was able to secure a high-top table by the bar area. It was starting to get packed in there though. By the time the game started, every table was full, so just be aware that you should probably get here early if you intend to catch a game or two. My friend and I ordered a number of dishes to munch on while we were watching the games. We ordered the following dishes: 1) Pepperoni and mushroom pizza ($12.95) - rate a 4/5; really good pizza surprisingly and a decent size too might I add. Not too salty at all, and very tasty, especially the mushrooms that they used. 2) Side soup ($3.25) - rate a 4/5; really amazing organic tomato bisque soup as well. I added a side soup to the pizza for only $3.25 and it was well worth it. Really terrific soup! 3) Truffle fries, snack ($4.95) - rate a 3.5-4/5; I've had better truffle fries but these weren't bad. Shoestring size, nice and crunchy with a decent amount of truffle on top. Good dish for sharing. 4) Ahi poke bowl, snack ($6.95) - rate a 2 or 3/5; this was the most disappointing dish. I've had good ahi poke before and won't be ordering the one from Yard House again. It was tasteless and didn't have the same level of zing that you get from Hawaiian or Japanese ahi poke dishes. It was served with fried wontons which was a nice touch, but it didn't make the ahi poke itself taste much better. 5) Roasted turkey cobb ($14.45) - rate a 3/5; my friend ordered this, and he and I didn't think it looked very appetizing. He seemed to enjoy it though, but I wasn't really that impressed. Stick with the other dishes I listed above. In the past, I've also had the pepper crusted gorgonzola grilled burger ($12.95), which is one of my personal favorites for sure! Definitely recommend to everyone!! I always rate this dish a 5 out of 5. I've also tried Ribeye and Shrimp ($32.75) from the Las Vegas location, but I thought this entree was just ok. Nothing too special here and would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. All in all, I really enjoy Yard House every time I go, and will be back again soon... especially this location in Santana Row. Great environment, great service, good food! And they also have a really good happy hour (half price select appetizers!!). Just make sure you get there early enough to secure a table/seat!

It has that perfect balance of classy and casual. The line is usually out the door but they weren't too busy for Saturday lunch (surprisingly). The main entree aren't anything special but the appetizers are the best! I would recommend sharing a couple appetizer. It does come out to be a bit more pricey but at least you get to try different foods Order: Fried Calamari- good portion and flavorful Mu Shu egg roll-FAVORITE!!! A must try Poke Stack-not fishy at all, I approve Pomegranate margarita- sweet and fruity but not very strong

Went here for dinner after a late game and was very pleased with the service. The ambience was welcoming as well. I ended up ordering the lobster crab and artichoke dip. It had a great texture except it seemed a little fishy. It tasted best with the pita bread rather than the tortilla chips. The buffalo boneless wings were also yummy and I thought they were relatively good for a non-wing restaurant. For my meal I ordered the bbq chicken pizza and it was delicious. The sauces was savory and sweet, the onions and cilantro gave it the proper kick. And the crust was perfect at the end and I liked the macadamia nut pieces that were on top; have the pizza that necessary unique crunch. Overall I was pleased and will return to try other dishes.

For the past couple of years, it has been an annual tradition for my group of friends to come here on New Year's day for happy hour/dinner. Timing is key for an enjoyable experience. We usually come a little early for happy hour, get a buzzer for our large party, and by the time we get called and seated, the whole party would have arrived with some of us already enjoying a couple rounds of drinks and appetizers. Shout out to our bartender and server for being so helpful and timely. I'm super simple and enjoy the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque. A great and tasty combination (Dunking the sandwich into the soup is a MUST). Feeling a little crazy, add a side of truffle fries. Haha. But the star of this eatery is the long inventory of beers available. My favorite of the night was the Sea Dog Blue Paw Wild Blueberry. It's a fruit beer, light, and so fresh and delicious.

I came here after hearing about it incessantly from my friends and finally decided to give it a shot. I was actually a bit disappointed in some of the beers. I felt like the beers that I got were from he end of a keg as they felt a bit flat. The service was pretty good even though the place was packed. Due to the amount of people there, the free internet they offered was unable to work for me. I had the macaroni and cheese, which was pretty good when I got it, but turned flavorless as soon as it started to cool down. Overall, I think I would come here again if it wasn't so busy.

Yard House has some decent drinks, beers, and appetizers. I had a Rose flavored Martini and enjoyed it. My friends enjoyed their beers as well. Appetizers- The truffle oil fries are pretty good and very crispy. These are a very good choice for an appetizer. The chicken nachos are good too but the presentation is not as great. They look kind of cheaply made and gross! They taste yummy though! Main Dish-I had the pasta in vodka sauce and was not impressed. The dish lacked serious flavor, and I had to resort to adding a lot of salt to even taste anything. It was just extremely bland and disappointing. No tomato, cream, or even basil flavor! The service is very slow and often frustrating at times. My friends and I waited 30 minutes just to get our drinks. That's just bad service! Overall, I don't think I would come back to Yard House again. There are much better choices in Santana Row that serve good quality food!

I've been wanting to try this place. I think it was just alright, nothing all that special. The lobster noodle was just whatever, nothing too special. The truffle fries were great and I'd recommend it. The tacos were OK. I think I expected more from here, maybe I'd be back

A great place for drinks! Food can be good to mediocre depending on what you get. Pizzas are definitely good here. Today I had the four cheese. Chicken lettuce wrap. YUM! Poke is on the bit salty side (too much soy sauce) and need to have more flavor. I made the mistake of thinking that spicy tuna roll was Japanese cut roll style. It wasn't my favorite. Our server Sinai was so sweet and friendly!

Went here for a 21st bday party (yay, I'm 21 again!!) with a group of around 20 people on a sunday night. I think one of us did make a reservation for 8PM but we still had to wait around 20 minutes before we got seated. The restaurant was nice and fancy, just like the other santana row businesses! But the floor is quite greasy, ladies, watch your steps! Service from our two servers were very friendly and they tried to be organized by asking us to keep our seats so that it would be easy to split the bills (they would bill by your seat number). The servers first took the drink orders, then the appetizers, then the entrees.... for desserts, it looked like they were expecting nobody wanted one but my hubby and I are desserts junky so we flagged them for desserts anyway hahahahah!! Now... they do have an extensive selection of beverages *cough, alcoholic* the beer and alcoholic cider drinks were impressive and my "angry apple cider" was very delicious!!! and reasonably priced (around $7 for a pint) but SLOW, SLOW, SLOW!!!! It probably took them about 30 minutes for the appetizers to come out, another 30 minutes (or even longer) for entrees to come out and another 15-20 minutes for desserts to come out after we placed each order. Getting our bill also was another 15-20 minutes...YIKES!!! By the time we exit the restaurant....it was already past 11!!! yikes!!! over 2.5 hours of dining?? and we're not even in Europe yo!! Food: Shrimp ceviche was overly sweetened... one of the three tostada chips was stale. Hubby's bbq bacon burger was yummy but the meat was a bit too lean for my liking. Truffle fries were delicious though and so was the artichokes lobster dip! I would have given a three stars but with the slowness of everything.... certainly, meh, I've experienced better!

HAPPY HOUR HAPPY HOUR HAPPY HOUR. I don't come here for the food, I come here for the booze. I mean, I could just end my review with just those 2 sentences, but who would listen to an alcoholic on Yelp. This location is huge with large booths and tables, with a big circular bar in the center with lots of TVs showing w.e. major sports game is going on. I do love the food here, but I'm more so an expert on their appetizer/pizza menu. Their entrees are a bit too pricey for their average quality, and I would so much rather spend my money on their 127 beers ON TAP. HAPPY HOUR My friends and I ONLY come here during Happy Hour, which is great because they have 3-6pm Happy Hour AND a late night Happy Hour (10pm-close) as well Mondays to Wednesdays. Their Happy Hour specials are half off on all beers (shortys, goblets, pints, half yards (3-6pm HH only, unless the waiter is feeling generous/nice)) and $2 off on specialty cocktails. It is also half off on select appetizers and pizzas. If you order a bunch of appetizers and some beers you can very well have a full meal. These happy hour times/price/specials do vary between Yard House locations. Beware, it can get VERY crowded during late night and game times. DRINKS - COCKTAILS In terms of cocktails, their strawberry mojito is delicious, better than the regular and mango flavors. It definitely just tastes like strawberry lemonade. I could drink these endlessly. The Southern Belle is also a delicious fruity vodka cocktail. The Brazilian Lemonade tastes like a classy better tasting long island. The Pineapple Express is too sweet, and the Malibu taste is too strong. The Pomegranate Margarita is quite strong and you definitely taste that tequila. The cocktails even during Happy Hour are still expensive to me at $7 each, but they do come in large glasses. DRINKS - BEERS I am not going to talk about all 127 beers on tap here, but they have everything! The menu is organized very nicely by style and type of beer. Light, belgian, wheat, stout, fruity, ale, malt, dark, etc. You will definitely find something to your liking. You get two free beer samples too. They also offer flights, which I still need to try. Yard House also has their own house made beers as well. You just CAN'T go to Yard House and NOT get a half yard. A half yard is literally a half yard glass of beer, sounds more intimidating than it is, but it essentially only amounts to about 2ish pints of beer. **They do have this rule where you can't order a second drink until you've basically finished or halfway finished your first drink. It's definitely annoying when last call comes around. So literally one drink at a time here. APPETIZERS I love their appetizers, if not more than their entree offers. Half are offered on Happy Hour specials but some are not. Delish - Truffle fries are thin and crunchy here. Lobster, crab, artichoke dip is much better than the spinach cheese one. Fried calamari and kung pao calamari are both perfectly fried and flavorful. All their wing options (get the firecracker!) are good as well. Ahi sashimi, poke stack, and spicy tuna roll taste very fresh, quality fish! The sliders are very simple but very delicious patties. Meh/not worth - Deviled eggs and hummus are meh. Flatbreads are pretty basic, get a happy hour pizza instead. Crab cakes (you only get 2), California roll has too much rice, spinach cheese dip has too much cheese, and chicken nachos are also plain. TL;DR - 127 beers on tap, half off beers/select appetizers during happy hour, get a half yard....or two. Happy Hour - Santana Row Monday-Friday - 3-6pm Sunday-Wednesday - 10pm-close

Came back after years because beer. Again left wondering, "Where does management get these servers?!" Vanessa was our server and although she was "chatty," she was not nice. I say this as a previous server who has had obnoxious, demeaning, tear-inducing guests ... I've seen it all and have great empathy for fellow servers. Vanessa, however, just wasn't very genuine. Here are some of her offenses: 1) There's a POS/server station right next to the bathroom. As I was leaving, I overheard her "talking shit" to her co-workers about our table, me specifically. She was annoyed that I was hesitant on having a shot with my friends. This was super unprofessional and inappropriate. I will say no more because I have nothing to prove to this person. 2) She made comments to our table along the lines of, "JUST AS LONG AS YOU TIP ME WELL" after realizing we were just there for appetizers and drinks. Not very classy and she didn't even say it in a sweet, joking way... she was blunt and rude about it, which was totally unnecessary and presumptuous. We ended up tipping very poorly but Vanessa really dug her own grave. I debated not tipping at all because of her gossiping, but it was a World Series day (aka madness), and while I do not relate to Vanessa and her lack of sincerity, I guess it could've been worse... always could be worse though lol. Our tab was $215 and we tipped $15 which is crap but reflective of the service.... no, it's actually generous. 3) Vanessa went on break so we were left with Christine, who wasn't any better. This isn't Vanessa's fault but it was frustrating how Christine was pretty dismissive of our table and seemed annoyed at having to do anything for us... which wasn't even very much. We didn't ask anything of her except to take another drink order for us. She also cleared our half-full plates which we were obviously still working on. Thanks for checking with us first. Vanessa, Christine, their co-workers and management can justify this lukewarm service all they want by saying our table didn't matter because we were only there for drinks and appetizers, but money is money and our bill still added up to about the same as it would have if we did order entrees... maybe even more? $215 for 5 people isn't chump change. We did stay awhile but we were far from "campers" because we were always working on some drinks or food (before it got taken away LOL). We weren't just sitting there doing nothing. We drank and ate at decent paces. There are a few aspects of serving that are hard and can be very stressful, but I always found being nice and sweet to be the easiest part. You can be clumsy and a million things can go wrong with the order, but your tips still won't suffer too badly as long as you're not a jerk. People like sincerity and kindness, two things we didn't get at all from Vanessa or Christine.

I went to Yard house today in the evening with my friends. We were having a real good time. We ordered a lot of food and drinks. One of the drinks I ordered was Lemonade. After drinking half of the lemonade, I realized it had a plastic wrapper in it. We called the waitress and showed her that the drink had plastic wrapper in it. She called the manager, manager checked, apologized, didn't even care to change the drink and left. I was really shocked with the behavior of manager. It's such a high end place in Santana Row and I didn't expect such customer service at all. Highly disappointed.

YARD HOUSE HAPPY HOUR - all you need to know :) I came here with a few of my friends around 5 PM yesterday and there was no wait. We were seated at a booth. I ordered the Angry Orchard crisp apple cider half yard and my friend got a raspberry beer I believe? We ordered the spicy tuna roll and the crab cakes. Both were so good and so cheap lol! Although I think I was a little too greedy when ordering the half yard because I could only finish half of it. But I will most definitely be back! I'm really glad we didn't have to deal with the HH rush! :)

In January, I visited SJ for work and was feeling peckish on arrival, so we came here to get something to eat. I was blown away by the level of service and the friendliness of the staff--something that actually took a bit of getting used to! The selection of beers was awe-inspiring, and the food did not disappoint. Ribs, with beans and creamed corn. I did not go back to my hotel hungry! It can be quite busy and noisy in the evening, and with good reason, so keep that in mind. It's only an issue for me because of my hearing and it made it a little difficult to converse, but for most people it shouldn't be a problem.

Absolutely incredible food, service and atmosphere. Our server Ivan was on top of things and helped me pick a beer patiently and recommended some great options. My friend and I had Ahi tuna for an appetizer and the lamb burger and vampire tacos for entrees. I was truly impressed and satisfied! I will definitely be back! Thank you!

First off, I am not a vegetarian, but I have eaten imitation/faux meats before, and I've got to say, the Gardein (sp?) is the best I've had yet. The service is usually pretty solid, not anything super special, but still good. I love some of their beers here (the fruit beers), and their food is solid, albeit pricy. In short, I love the beers and the imitation meat, the rest is middle of the pack for the most part.
